Welcome to Disbiotik, the educational card game designed to introduce everyone to the wonders of the gut microbiota. Immerse yourself in a world where science meets fun, where each card holds the key to understanding the fascinating ecosystem inside us.
The game
Disbiotik is suitable for groups of 2 to 5 players, aged 10 and up. Each game session lasts approximately 15 minutes, making it perfect for casual players or quick learning sessions at home or school.
The game features 108 cards, through which players can discover how diet, habits, risks, and antibiotics, among other factors, affect our gut microbiota and, consequently, our health.
At the moment, the game is a prototype, which means that it has not yet been released and you will not be able to buy it in your local game shop. However, the creation of the game and the development of the mechanics has been completed. The day is getting closer and closer.
Educational mission
Disbiotik aims to engage players in hands-on learning through gamification, where participants delve into interactive experiences designed to enhance understanding of the gut microbiota.
Microbial education: gain knowledge about the wide range of microorganisms residing in the gut and their significance in human health.
Health awareness: learn about the influence of lifestyle choices on gut microbiota and general well-being. Also, understand the role of antibiotics in the fight against bacterial infections and advocate for their responsible use to preserve their effectiveness.
Scientific engagement: interact with scientific concepts in a fun and accessible way, nurturing curiosity and comprehension.
